Emma C. King was born, April 11th, 1864, in Farmington, Iowa. She was converted in 1885 and was ever afterwards a faithful and devoted follower of Christ.
She was united in marriage to Geo. W. Thompson Jan. 26th, 1887, and to this union were born three children, who with the husband and five stepchildren mourn the loss of a kind and loving wife and mother.
She died Tuesday morning, Jan. 26, 1904, exactly seventeen years after her wedding day. Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 A. M. Rev. Carson of the Methodist circuit officiating. The remains were interred in the Thompson cemetery.
Her death coming at middle age and the thought of the motherless children makes it doubly sad. The friends of the family extend sincerest sympathy in their bereavement.
