MARLOW - Funeral for James T. "J.T." Ray, 81, Marlow, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Letitia Baptist Church with the Rev. John Kerr, pastor, Country Road Baptist Church, officiating.
Mr. Ray died Saturday in a Chickasha hospital following a lengthy illness.
Burial will be in Letitia Cemetery under direction of Lawton Ritter-Gray Funeral Home.
He was born Sept. 8, 1915, in Baum. He married Lois Roach on Oct. 29, 1937, in Letitia. He farmed in Cotton and Comanche counties for 30 years and was groundskeeper at Doe Doe Park in Lawton for 23 years before retiring in 1979.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Bill Ray, east of Lawton; a daughter, Mary Jane Brown, Davis; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and two adopted grandchildren.
