Funeral for B. F. Atkins Is Scheduled Thursday; Lived Here Since '24
Benjamin Franklin Atkins, 72, resident of the Lawton community since 1924, died at 6 a. m. Wednesday at his home at 109 I following several years' illness.
Mr. Atkins was born Feb 24, 1867, in Floyd county, Ga. He was married to Nancy Ann Poston Jan 12, 1922 1885 in Georgia.
He was a member of the Methodist church and the I. O. O. F. lodge.
Survivors are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Dewey, Eau Claire. Mich., five sons, Tom A., Lawton; Charlie, Dutton, Ala.; James, Cedartown, Ga.; Robert and Luther, both of Lawton; and other relatives.
Funeral services were scheduled at 3 p. m. Thursday at the Letitia Baptist church east of Lawton. Rev. Drumgoole will officiate. Burial will be in Letitia cemetery with Ritter's in charge.
