She was 30 years old. Mary Elizabeth Newton Davis married William J Nops in Cuyahoga, Ohio, on August 24, 1904, when she was 30 years old. Both Mary and her husband were practicing chiropractors, Nops & Nops in Indiana. Her husband William J, Nops passed away on July 5, 1932, at the age of 60. They had been married 27 years. Her mother Flora Ann "Fanny" Herndon Wright passed away on February 11, 1934, in Norwalk, Ohio, at the age of 80. Mary Elizabeth Newton Davis Nops died on May 16, 1949, in Norwalk, Ohio, when she was 75 years old. She was buried by her two infants in the East Norwalk Cemetery in Norwalk, Huron County, Ohio. Her son Carl was the father of 2 daughters, Ruth Nokomis Davis Gillmor and Sarah Lee "Sally" Davis Tuell, making her a grandmother.

Mary Elizabeth Newton-Wright was the oldest child of Flora Ann Herndon and Joseph Newton. Flora Ann Herndon later married William Thomas Wright and moved to Huron County, Ohio. Mary Elizabeth married Claude Elmore Davis and they had a son Carl Elmer Davis on Nov 21 1896 in Norwalk, Huron, Ohio where her mother and stepfather moved after living in Warren County, Tennessee. She and Claude Elmore Davis married in 1891 and by the 1900 U S Census had 3 children with only Carl surviving. Claude Elmore Davis was the brother of her brother-in-law Rucker Davis who married her half sister Bertha Florence Wright. Mary Elizabeth must have divorced Claude Elmore Davis before 1904 as she married William J. Nops in 1904 . They lived in Kentland, Newton County, Indiana with her son, Carl E. Davis. Both her husband William J. Nops and her son Carl are interred in the cemetery in Kentland, Newton County, Indiana. By news article about the death (Feb. 11, 1934) of her mother Flora Ann Herndon Wright, it stated that her daughter Mrs. Mary Nops had survived her mother and was living in Norwalk, Huron County, Ohio. Mary Elizabeth spent the last 7 years of her life in the Sharpe Convalescent Home on 507 Wayne Street in Sandusky, Ohio. She was 75 years of age when she died.

on the north side of SR 61, about 3 miles northeast of Norwalk, between Seminary Rd. and the railroad, in Norwalk Twp. The cemetery was copied June 29, 1960 by Henry and Marty Timman. It was recopied in 1993 by Marie Hohler, Mary Kline, and Tom Neel.
