Death of Andrew J. Gilbert

Passed Away This Morning After a Lingering Illness.

Death relieved Andrew J. Gilbert of his sufferings after a lingering illness of many weeks. He died at his home at 215 North Third street at 4:15 o'clock this morning. The cause of his death was given as Bright's disease.

Andrew J. Gilbert has been a resident of this community for many years. He is well known here and has numerous friends who will regret his death. He was 72 years and three months old at date of death. He leaves a wife and eight children to mourn his death. His children are Allen S. Gilbert, of Grand Island, Neb., Mrs. Nellie Scott, of Middleton, Okla., and Warren Gilbert, Mrs. Mary DeMott, Mrs. Jessie Atkinson, Robert Gilbert and Mrs. Wm. Klopf, all of this city.

The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Gilbert home at 2 o'clock. The services will be conducted by Rev. Wm. Gardner. Burial will occur in Mercer cemetery.
