Melissa K. (Moore) Hacker, 41, of Franklin, passed away Saturday at her residence. She was born April 27, 1968 in Bloomington, Indiana to Art Moore and Wanda (Gilliland) Moore. She married Kent A. Hacker on June 14, 1986 in Greenwood.

She was a 1986 graduate of Southport High School and a 1995 graduate of the I.U.P.U. I. School of Nursing in Indianapolis. She was a member of Community Congregational Church in Franklin where she and her husband were active and involved with church and youth activities of the church.

Survivors include her husband Kent A. Hacker of Franklin, two daughters Miranda K. (Donny) Goeb of the U.S. Air Force, Lauren E. Hacker of Franklin, a son Landon Hacker of Franklin, her father Art Moore of Bloomington, and a brother James (Gail) Moore of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her mother Wanda (Gilliland) Moore.

Reverend Diane Wise will conduct a service Friday 11AM at Community Congregational Church 4592 Hurricane Road, Franklin.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4PM till 8PM at the church.

Burial will be at Hurricane Cemetery in Franklin.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Congregational Church earmarked church retreat fund 4592 Hurricane Road Franklin, Indiana 46131.

She was born April 27, 1968, in Bloomington to Art Moore and Wanda (Gilliland) Moore. She married Kent A. Hacker on June 14, 1986, in Greenwood. She was a 1986 graduate of Southport High School and a 1995 graduate of the IUPUI School of Nursing. She was a member of Community Congregational Church in Franklin, where she and her husband were involved with church and youth activities.

She had been a nurse for Trafalgar Family Health Center for 12 years.

Survivors include her husband, Kent A. Hacker of Franklin; two daughters, Miranda K. (Donny) Goeb of the U.S. Air Force and Lauren E. Hacker of Franklin; a son, Landon Hacker of Franklin; her father, Art Moore of Bloomington; and a brother James (Gail) Moore of Bedford.

The Rev. Diane Wise will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday at Community Congregational Church, 4592 Hurricane Road, Franklin. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Hurricane Cemetery in Franklin.
