MOLLIE BAKER ANSWERS DEATH'S CALL
Marry Hannah Baker, a member of a pioneer Merced family, passes away Monday afternoon at the family home on the corner of Eighteenth and N streets, death following a long period of invalidism which she bore with rare fortitude and during which she received the kind and loving care of her devoted mother and other relatives.
Mollie Baker was born in Merced on December 6, 1885 and was a daughter of Mrs Mary S Baker and the late John B Baker. A few years after entering the local grammar schools her health failed and she was an invalid until the Angel of Death mercifully called her.
Besides her mother she leaves two sisters and three brothers - Mrs Kathryn Conrad of Oakland, Mrs Genevieve Mahon of Fresno, Richard B Bennett of Napa and John T and Francis E Baker of Merced.
Internment was in the Baker vault in the Catholic cemetery.
