SARAH A. JORDAN
On Thursday evening, February 26, death released from an illness of long standing, Mrs. Sarah A. Jordan, widow of John H. Jordan, late if Lancaster.
Mrs. Jordan (nee Sarah A. Sims) was born in Lemington, Vt., March 30, 1850. It was on Sims' Hill in this town, and in the neighboring town of Bloomfield that her early years were spent. From the date of her marriage to Mr. Jordan, March 15, 1868, she lived in her native town for more than 35 years, after which they moved to Maidstone. Later they purchased and removed to the place at 216 Main Street, Lancaster, in which home they spent their remaining years.
Mrs. Jordan was a hard-working and helpful wife and mother. She was very patient and thoughtful of others during her long period of sickness and sorrow.
Her funeral services were held at the home on Sunday afternoon with the Rev. R. H. Dunn officiating. On the following morning interment took place in the family lot, Columbia, NH.
She is survived by nine daughters and one son as follows:
