Margaret Fickes Foster, 91, a resident in Biloxi for 80 years, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2009.

She graduated from Biloxi High and attended Perkinston Junior College where she was a cheerleader, member of the track team, and a Beauty. She attended First Baptist Church in Biloxi. She served in the Ladies' Medical Auxiliary. She was a charter member of Sunkist Country Club where she belonged to the Ladies Golf Association and had 2 holes-in-one.

She was a former member of several carnival associations along the Coast.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Dr. James Ray Foster; her first husband Robert C Lee Sr., parents, Ross and Emma Fickes; sisters, Kate F. Bellande and Dorothy F. Wentzell.

She is survived by her 5 children; Bob (Sylvia) Lee of Biloxi, Jim (Kay) Foster of Biloxi, Jimmy (Ann) Lee of Biloxi, Karen (David) Duke of Decatur, AL, Lee (Renee) Foster of Birmingham; 9 grandchildren, Robyn Lee Henderson (Jason), Audrey Duke Laird (Andy), Dr. Ashley Duke, Jamie Lee, Dr. Brian Foster (Erika), Brad Foster, Katie Lee, Clay Foster (Kelly), Cori Foster; and 3 great-grandchildren, Jordan Henderson, Andrew Laird, and Foster Laird.

Visitation will be Friday, April 3, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi.

Funeral services will follow visiting hours in the funeral home chapel at Noon. Burial will follow at Southern Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Biloxi or Gulf Coast Rescue Mission.
