Dipomat. Alleyne Fitzherbert 1st Lord St Helens was a dipomat and ambassador to Russia, before becoming Lord of the Bedchamber to George III and a trustee of the British Musuem in South Kensington. His friend, the explorer, George Vancouver named Mount St Helens, what is now Washington, in his honour. He was also a friend of Catherine the Great
