Parents were Thomas Riley "Boss" Russell and Dora Jane Martin. (He was a twin to Thomas Carold Russell, 1923 - 2004) He recieved an honorable discharge from the Army in Feburary 1944 after serving six months. He married March 6, 1944 to Evadne Elouise Dickey. They had one child. They made their home in Donie, Leon County, Texas, and had only recently moved to Oakwood to accepted work at the mill. He was accidently killed at work when a log fell on him and pierced through his body. He was buried Aug. 4, 1945.
