Mrs. Ludell McNeal Sloan, 89, died Monday night (Apr. 2, 2001) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after a long illness. She is a native of Coffee County, but she has resided most of her life in Waycross.

She was a homemaker and a charter member of Grace Ministries.

Her parents were the late Newton Lee McNeal and Mattie Daniels McNeal. She is the wife of the late Ward Beecher Sloan. She is also preceded in death by four brothers, six sisters and one grandchild.

She is survived by three daughers, Iris Christine Sloan Russell (Husband James), Carolyn Ludell Sloan Wilson (Husband Everett), and Shirley Rose Sloan Grantham (Husband Earl) all of Waycross; one son, James Ward (Jim) Sloan (Wife Laura) of Waycross; one sister, Agnes Baxley of Pearson; nine grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

A funeral service will conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday (Apr. 4, 2001) at Grace Ministries. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Music Funeral Home.
