OBITUARY.
Geo. M. Baker was born in Johnson Co., Ind., Oct. 29th, 1834. He was married to Rhoda Ann Bailey, Dec. 24th, 1854. To them were born seven children: four boys and three girls, one of which preceded her father to the eternal world. Bro. Baker united with the Mt. P. Church, when quite young, in Morgan Co., Ind., and lived a consistent Christian life until death transferred him to the heavenly world. He was a good father, a faithful husband, and a kind neighbor. He loved the church of his choice, and was class leader for more than thirty years. He died Nov. 3d, 1896. About ten days previous to his death, he was stricken with paralysis, from which he never rallied. He leaves a wife, six children, five brothers, one sister and many friends to mourn his departure. But their loss is his gain. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hispy at Bethel church.
