Benjamin Franklin Cox of the Avilla community, a retired farm and construction worker, died Wednesday. He was 78.

He was a Pentecostal.

Survivors include his wife, Zettie Cox; a son, Norris Cox of Avilla; a brother, Jeff Cox of Avilla; four sisters, Rosie Louallen, Roxie Hester and Ollie Hester of Paron and Susan Hunsaker of Benton and one grandson, Chad Cox of Avilla.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ashby Funeral Home with the Rev. J. C. Verdier and the Rev. Ricky Lumpkin officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Bottom Cemetery in Paron.

Pallbearers will be Keylon Green, Darrell Cook, Lyndon Green, Rodney Louallen, Bobby Louallen and Clisty Cox.
