CORNBOWER – On Monday, January 22, 1945, at 11:30 a.m., at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl W. Cornbower, Spring Grove RD 2, near Jefferson, Francis W. Cornbower, husband of Lucinda Shearer Cornbower, aged 74 years, 2 months, 10 days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Thursday, January 25, at 1:30 p.m. from the son’s home with concluding services at the United Brethren Church, Jefferson. Interment in Jefferson Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock, Wednesday morning and at the Cornbower home from Wednesday afternoon until the time of the funeral.

Francis W. Cornbower, Jefferson, Succumbs

Jefferson – Francis W. Cornbower, husband of Lucinda Shearer Cornbower, expired yesterday morning at 11 o’clock at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl W. Cornbower, Spring Grove RD 2, near here. He was 74 years old and a retired farmer.
The survivors in addition to the son with which he resided are: Children, Mrs. Harry Smith, Seven Valleys RD; Mrs. Zeno Ehrhart, York New Salem; Chester and Amos Cornbower, Mrs. Howard Keeney and Mrs. Woodrow Kaltreider, all of Spring Grove RD; Mrs. Jesse Hersh, Codorus; Elmer Cornbower, Mrs. Raymond Shaffer and Mrs. John Klinedinst, all of Seven Valleys RD; Mrs. Urias Kaltreider and Mrs. Roy Dubs, both of Brodbecks RD; 41 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one brother, William Cornbower, Glen Rock, and two sisters, Mrs. Isaiah Bair, Hanover, and Mrs. Frank Sandruck, Millers, Md.
Final rites will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the late residence with concluding services at the United Brethren Church, this place. Rev. M. S. Schmuck, pastor of the Jefferson United Brethren charge, officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Cemetery.
