William was married a second time on April 8, 1926 to Annie I. (Heyn) Shearer, and was also the father of a daughter, Bernice Mae Smeltzer.


William H. Cornbower was born October 7, 1875, and died at the home of his son, Henry Cornbower, Glen Rock, Pa., December 1, 1952, aged 77 years, 1 month, and 24 days.
Mr. Cornbower had been a patient sufferer for many months, afflicted with a malignant disease, and death came as a welcome relief. He had been a kind neighbor and friend, a faithful and devoted member of St. Jacob's (Stone) Evangelical and Reformed Church, for many years. He was a regular attendant at its services as long as his health permitted him. He was twice married. Both his wives preceded him in death. There remains his son and family to mourn his homegoing.
The funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, December 3, 1952, with services at the Geiple Funeral Parlor in Glen Rock, Pa. The funeral text was Rom. 8:18. The Rev. Ivan R. Morrin assisted in the services. Burial was made in the Stone Church Cemetery.
