Services were held at Second Baptist Church Friday, October 2, for Mrs. Mazie Edith Wyatt, 68, who died in Farmington on Wednesday, September 30. The Rev. Richard Adams officiated and burial was in Maple Cemetery with H.S. Smith Funeral Home service.
She was born September 23, 1896 at Savannah, Tenn. and moved to Arkansas when a small child. In Perry County, Ark. in August 1914, she was married to George W. Wyatt and the family moved to Missouri in 1916. They have lived in Caruthersville for the past three years and she was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, George L. Wyatt of Naylor and James F. Wyatt of St. Louis; six daughters, Mrs. Alma Adams and Mrs. Lorine Ross of Caruthersville, Mrs. Tommie Edna Smith of Berlin, Germany, Mrs. Lucille Williamson of Snow Drake, Ark. and Mrs. Mary Kay Helfer and Mrs. Sarah Sumpter of Granite City, Ill.; six brothers, Lee and Horace Odom of Wardell, Charles Odom of this city, Edgar and Homer Odom of Armorel, Ark. and Eugene Odom of Blytheville; two sisters, Mrs. Dessie Hardesty of Steele and Mrs. Hester Shattuck of Flint, Mich.; seventeen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
