George W. Wyatt, 81, died at St. Francis Hopsital in Cape Girardeau on Wednesday, November 17 and funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Adams officiating. Burial was in Maple Cemetery with H.S. Smith service.
Mr. Wyatt was born in Decatur County, Tenn., November 4, 1884. In Perry County, Ark. on September 27, 1914, he was married to Miss Mazie Edith Odom, who died on October 30, 1965. He was a retired farmer.
He leaves two sons, George L. Wyatt of St. Louis; six daughters, Mrs. Alma Adams and Mrs. Lorene Ross of Caruthersville, Mrs. Tommie Smith of Berlin, Germany, Mrs. Lucille Williamson of Snow Lake, Ark., Mrs. Mary Kay Hefler and Mrs. Sarah Sumpter of Granite City, Ill.; five sisters, Mrs. Carrie McClanahan of this city, Mrs. Mary Hudson, Mrs. Pearl Blackwell, Mrs. Minnie McClanahan and Mrs. Gertie Hepler; seventeen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
