Howard R. Tarpley,age 65, of Crane ,
who passed away Wednesday at Big
Spring will be held at 2 p.m. Friday
in the Crane Church of Christ in
Crane . Bill Fairchild and Doug Chrane
will officiate at the services with
Richard Box Funeral Home in Crane
in charge of funeral arrangements .
Burial will be in Crane County Cemetery.

Mr.Tarpley was born on Oct. 10, 1920
in Fannin County . He married Jewel
Christine Jones , Sept. 30, 1939 in
Bonham . He served in the United
States Army in World War 11 , and
was a member of the Churst of Christ.
Mr.Tarpley moved to Crane in 1962 ,
and was Crane Commissioner from
1959 thru 1983 and a member of
the Crane Evening Lions Club.

Survivors include his widow, Christine
Tarpley of Crane, mother, Gracie
Cunningham of Bonham, sons,Albert
Ray Tarpley of Crane and Howard
Eugene Tarpley of McKinney , sisters,
Margaret Anderson of Dodd City, and
Evelyn Brewer of Bonham , brother,
Tom Tarpley of Bonham , six grand-
children and four great-grandchildren.
