Bonham, Texas - Graveside services for Ruth Evelyn Brewer, 96, of Bonham, Texas will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Arledge Ridge Cemetery. Bro. Adam Barker will officiate. Mrs. Brewer passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham, TX.
Ruth Evelyn (Tarpley) Brewer was born on July 2, 1918 in Bonham, TX to Bailey B. and Gracie (Cox) Tarpley. She married Ralph E Brewer on May 12, 1934 in Durant, OK; he preceded her in death on July 29, 1988. Ruth retired from Bonham Manufacturing as a sewing machine operator, and is a member of the First Baptist Church, Bonham, TX.
She is survived by daughter, Ellen Large; grandsons, Dennis Hackney and Monty Hackney; along with numerous great and great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Ruth Kelly, son, Ralph Kenneth Brewer, granddaughter, Vicky Hicks Doyle, grandson, Michael Kelly, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
