William Melvin Denniston, 83, died early Thursday morning, November 3, 1994 at the Community Care Center in Worland.

He was born July 29, 1911 in Parnell, Missouri, the son of William and Rachel Miller Robertson. He married Rosie Robison December 17, 1931 in Unionville, Iowa. She died in 1983. Mr. Denniston worked as a miner as a young man. He also worked on the railroad and farmed for many years. He and his family lived in Lovell for several years then moved to Deaver where they farmed. Later in life he moved to Basin to be near his daughter. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved the outdoors.

He is survived by 3 sons, Lee Denniston of Worland, Richard (Ann) Denniston of Port Orchard, Washington, and Ronald (Myrna) Denniston of Basin; 3 daughters, Mrs. Joe (Maxine) Meyer of Basin, Mrs. Wilfred(Ruby) Nelson, and Mrs. David (Charlotte) Hall both of Worland; 1 brother, Dan Denniston of Basin; half-brother, Jim Hoffman of Worland; 2 sisters, Annabelle Foster of Basin and Ethel Garrison of Centerville, Iowa; 30 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 7, 1994 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lovell Cemetery. Haskell Funeral Home of Lovell is in charge of arrangements.
