John Wesley Ashworth died at his home near Frazier, Mo, Sept. 10th, 1895, aged 46 years 11 months and 13 days.

Mr. Ashworth was well known by the people of this comminity, and no man stood higher in the estimation of his neighbors and acquaintances. He was a member of the M.E. church from the time he was seventeen years old. His common daily life was the life of a Christian, and when the sounds of earth grew faint, he feared no evil.

A post mortem examination revealed that Mr. Ashworth died of cancer of the liver.

He was a member of the A.O.U.W. and his wife is therefore provided for, and will receive $2,000 through the Jewell lodge.
