Mrs. Mason was born in the Farrar Hill community of Coffee County the daughter of the late Emery Thurman Crosslin and Pearl Elizabeth Butler Crosslin. Mrs. Mason was a homemaker and was a former employee of Wilson Sporting Goods in Tullahoma. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, W. P. Shelton and J.C. Mason, by a son, Donald Preston Shelton, by a daughter, Carolyn Ann Deckleman, by a brother, Howard Crosslin and by 3 sisters, Evie Lucille Burks, Nellie Davis and Hazel Crosslin. Mrs. Mason is survived by:
1 son- Thomas Rayburn (Frances Gunn) Shelton of Tullahoma
2 sisters- Mrs. Bobbie (Wimpy) Carden of Manchester
Evelyn Alene Bush of Shelbyville
2 brothers- Clifton (Mamie) Crosslin of Manchester
