Campobello, SC - Paul M. Fowler died Wednesday, Sep. 20, 1961 at 6 p.m. at the Spartanburg General Hospital following several years of illness. Born and reared in the Motlow Creek Community, of Spartanburg County, SC, and the son of J. M. and Ida Atkins Fowler. He was married twice, 1st to Maggie Mae Smith Fowler and 2nd to Hellen Frances Freeman. Died Wednesday, Sep. 20, 1961 at 6 p.m. in Spartanburg General Hospital after several years of illness. Survivors included: five daughters, Mrs. Roselle Thompson, Mrs. Betty Womack, Mrs. Faye Greene, Mrs. Idell Brown and Miss Sue Fowler, three sons, Robert, Ammon and Harold Fowler, three sisters, Mrs. Beaufort Lance, Miss Mamie Fowler and Mrs. Jettie Jackson, four brothers, Arthur, Hubert, Walter and Joe Fowler, and 21 grandchildren. He was 62 years of age at his demise.
