Wife of Dr. Joel Thomas (1839-Bef 1880)

Their children not linked below were:

Adrien
b. 1869
d. Aft 1930
m. Jessie ?

According to:
Ellsberry, Elizabeth Prather, comp. Cemetery Inscriptions of Sullivan County, Missouri. Vol. 1-5. Chillicothe, MO, USA: Elizabeth Prather Ellsberry, c1963.

She was buried in:

The old McCullough Family Cemetery is located in the N.E. 1/4, S.E. 1/4, of Sec.3, Twp.61, Range 20, approximately one half mile North east of Cora, Sullivan Co., of Floyd Fanning and Hildred Spencer Blake. The latest grave there is 1916. The inscriptions were taken by Mrs. Elizabeth Cowgill and Mrs. Berte Faulkner, Nov. 27, 1950.

Kevin Casey searched the cemetery on July 1 2010 and did not see her grave stone.

We have not been able to determine when her husband Joel Thomas died.
He was not living with the family in the 1880 census so he may have died before that time.

Any information about this matter would be appreciated.

A previously posted photo was suggested to be her however comparison to other photos suggest the photo was of one of her daughters. Since she died in 1881 it is unlikely that a photo ever was taken. We surely would like to be wrong however so if anyone is related to this branch of our family please contact me.
