Stella Irene Acrod, 83, of Oroville, died Monday, January 28/, 1991, at North Valley Nursing Home at Tonasket.
She was born January 22, 1908, at Pateros, to Samuel H. and Laura Shaw. She attended schools in the Watson District and also at Pateros. She married Albert Acord December 24, 1923, at Okanogan. They moved to Beaver Creek, four miles south of Twisp in 1936. On November 1, 1981, they moved to Oroville. Mr. Acord died in 1985.
Survivors include one son, Eddie of Oroville; 12 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was also preceded in death by two sons, four brothers, four sisters, one grandson and one great-grandson. Graveside services were held Monday, February 4, 1991, 1:00 pm from the Methow Cemetery with Pastor Dave Jenne officiating. Memorials may be made to the Oroville Ambulance Fund. Arrangements by Bergh Funeral Service in Oroville.
