Douglas Robertson, 46, of Carthage, passed away at 4:55 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Carthage Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on Jan. 18, 1963, in Carthage. Douglas was the son of Lee A. Robertson and Loretta "Ward" McBride. He was a self-employed contractor. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Carthage as a child; more recently attending The Central Christian Center in Joplin.

He was survived by one son, Matthew Robertson, of Carthage; and one daughter, Shelly Robertson Cox and husband, Jeremy, of Carthage; one brother, Mike Robertson, of Tacoma, Wash.; and four sisters, Debbie Rhode, of Frontenac, Kan., Karen Boatright, of Joplin, Lisa McBride, of Branson, Mo., and Sue Clay, Wichita, Kan.; one granddaughter, Alex Cox; two nieces and four nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, July 13, at Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be open. Burial will be in Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
