Anna J. Bickham
Onsted- Anna J. Bickham, 94 of Onsted, passed away on Nov. 28, 1998, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian.
She was born on Jan. 9, 1904 to John C. and Rosa B. (Long) Smith in Azalia, Michigan.
Anna was raised in Tecumseh (Cummings Street) and later lived in Morenci area on a farm, before moving to Onsted in 1948. She loved to crochet and work in her year and garden. Anna married Max Bickham on October 29, 1929, in Toledo, Ohio. He preceded her in Death in 1987.
Surviving is her daughter, Dorothy (James) Gooding of Tipton; two sons, William (Arline) Bickham of Napoleon and Donald (Deena) Bickham of California; 14 grandchildren, Ann (Donald) Wolff of Florida, Sharon (Robert) Shadewald of Adrian, Vernon (Lisa) Bennett of Adrian, Cynthia (Jim) Bammer of Jackson, Tom (Denise ) Bickham of Grass Lake, Steve Bickham of Jackson, Ronald Bickham of Jackson, Kathleen (Ted) Petrakovitz of Concord, Denise (Carl) Bunker of Leslie, Brenda (Joe) Barensheer of Belleville, Donald Bickham of Kincheloe, Debra (Art) Campbell of Adrian, Judith Gooding of Tipton, Michell (Kristine) Gooding of Onsted; 25 great-grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon Bennett; her son, Vernon J. Bennett and daughter in law Eleanor Bennett; five brothers and one sister.
Grave side services will be held at 11AM, Thursday, December 3, 1998, at Maple Shade Cemetery in Onsted with the Rev. Jonathon Stern officiating. Visitation will be held o Wednesday, from 7-9 PM at the Dunn Chapel, Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Onsted.
