William Max "Bill" Bickham, age 77, passed away at home, under the loving care of hospice and his family. Bill was born on April 5, 1931 in Tecumseh, the son of Max and Anna (Smith) Bickham. He married Arline Bendele on March 2, 1957 at St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Church and she survives. Due to Bill's values and ethics, he made many friends through his excavating company from which he retired in 1983. His children greatly appreciated and relied on his ingenuity, experience and advice in life. Besides his loving wife of 51 years, William is survived by his children, Cynthia (James) Clippard of Jackson, Thomas Bickham of Grass Lake, Ronald (Julie) Bickham of Napoleon, Steven Bickham of Lebanon, TN, Kathleen (Ted) Petrakovitz of Concord, Denise (Carl) Bunker of Leslie; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald and Vernon; and sister, Dorothy (James) Gooding.
