Bertha Pieratt
Mrs. Bertha PIERATT, 83, R.R. 4, Rochester, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Rochester nursing home.
Mrs. Pieratt was born Sept. 25, 1895, in Athens to Charles and Harriet LuEdith MILLER BAKER. She had lived in Fulton and Cass counties her lifetime. She was first married to Henry UTTER in August of 1911, who preceded in death. She married Elmer KELLER in 1931. He also preceded in death. Her third marriage was to Elwood PIERATT in December of 1947. Mr. Pieratt survives.
Surviving with the husband are, two daughters, Mrs. Everett (Ethel) CLINGAMAN, Peru, and Mrs. Gerald (Edna) GRAY, Huntington; four sons, Alfred UTTER, Wabash; Henry UTTER, St. Petersburg, Fla,; Norman UTTER, Phoenix, Ariz., and Robert UTTER, Gilead, Ohio. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, along with a sister, Mrs. Marie BOICE, Warsaw; a half-sister, Mrs. Mabel SHOEMAKER, Warsaw; and two half-brothers, Raymond BOWERS, Athens, and Ralph BOWERS, New Orleans, La.
Services tentatively have been set for 2 p.m. Friday in the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev. Morris HOWELL officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Rochester. Friends may call from 3:30-9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Friday.
