WAYNESFIELD
Adah Francs Tussing, 74, died at 3:46 a.m. July 7, 2009, at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born Jan. 18, 1935, in Jackson Township to John A. and Lenna G. Heffner Hawk, who preceded her in death. On March 11, 1956, she married Richard Neil Tussing, who died Jan. 14, 2005.
Mrs. Tussing retired in 2004 as owner/operator, along with her husband, of Tussing's Pizza, Waynesfield, after more than 30 years. She had also worked at Dr Pepper Bottling Co., Lima, following her graduation from Lafayette High School. She was a hardworker and was dedicated to her family and the family business. She enjoyed going to the country music hall in Uniopolis, fishing and watching Waynesfield-Goshen High School basketball.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah F. Tussing Engle and Patricia K. (Brian) Hutchison, both of Waynesfield; a son, Daniel R. Tussing, of Waynesfield; three grandchildren, Ryan (Tabby) Hutchison, Jason Hutchison and Trisha (Jason) Vermillion; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Raegan, Samantha and Breann; a brother, Russell Hawk; and two sisters, Mary Barber and Catherine Herron.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, Jacob, John Jr., and Oliver Hawk.; and six sisters, Mildred Servis, Helen Lawrence, Bertha Holt and Edith, Dertha and Margaret Hawk.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Don Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Branch Cemetery, Waynesfield.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
