Sarah was the daughter of Isaac and Ruth Hattabough. She married Ebenezer Patrick 4 Dec 1818 in Washington Co., IN. Ebenezer Patrick was an Associate Judge beginning 8 Oct 1823 in Washington Co. He was an early teacher of Washington Township, and a newspaper editor and printer. He was also a town trustee in 1822. Ebenezer later became a Methodist preacher and the family lived in Vigo and Gibson Counties. He died in 1844. By 1850 Sarah and her younger children were living in Spencer.

Her known children were: Chauncey B., Amanda E., Albert G., Ebenezer, Rachel, Lara Ann, Samuel, Katherine, Mary Ellen. Of these children apparently Rachel, Lara Ann, and Samuel died in infancy.
