WILBRAHAM - Mabel S. (Soule) LaPierre, 82, formerly of this city, died on July 30 in Bangor, Maine, after being injured in a car accident there. She was a crossing guard in Springfield for 34 years and also worked at Milton Bradley Co. of East Longmeadow for many years. Born in this town, she lived here most of her life. Her husband, Frank D. LaPierre, died in 1961 and a son, Lawrence W. LaPierre, in 1997. She leaves a son, Francis D. Soule of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be this morning in Adams Cemetery. There are no calling hours and Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge. Memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Center, 88 Stony Hill Road, Wilbraham, MA 01095.
