Bertha was a member of the Grace Whipple Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star (OES) of Quincy, Berean Bible Class of the First Methodist Church and past president of the OES social club of Kankakee. She loved to wear hats and read novels and Hollywood gossip magazines. Bertha was very interested in her family history and her notes were priviotal in helping provide information on the Clark, McVay and Morris family histories.
