Mary Sue Blalock Moore, age 82, of Hurdle Mills, died Monday, December 25, 2017. Born in Caswell County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Blalock and Virginia Elizabeth Tate Blalock. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert E. Moore, Sr. and her brother, LaVern Blalock.
Mrs. Moore retired from Kroger after 35 years of employment. She was a member of the Bushy Fork Grange #1073 for 50 years. Mrs. Moore attended Wheeler's Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are her two sons: Herbert E. Moore, Jr. (Beverly) and Kevin L. Moore (Kimberly), all of Hurdle Mills; one brother, Ben Blalock (Frances) of Prospect Hill; two sisters: Linda Crumpton (Charles) of Blanche and Pearl Briggs (John) of Burlington; four grandchildren: Adam Moore, Morgan Moore, Grant Moore and Harrison Moore.
Funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Brooks & White Chapel with the Rev. Hal Dickerson officiating. Private burial will be held in the Wheeler's Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
