Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Merced District Cemetery for James Leonard Kasinger, 61, who died Saturday in a Merced hospital.

Pastor Philip Rohrer of First Church of the Nazarene in Atwater will officiate.

Mr. Kasinger was born July 31, 1926 in Hulbert, Okla. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Kasinger moved to Merced 11 years ago and worked as a refrigeration engineer until he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Kasinger of Merced; a son, James Kasinger of Pine Grove, two daughters, Gloria Garcia of Merced and Betty Winters of San Jose; five brothers, Jack Kasinger of Oklahoma, Roy Kasinger of Washington, Fred Kasinger of Sunnyvale, Tommy Kasinger of Riverbank, and Ulyis Kassinger (sic), whose address is not known; three sisters, Nora Beavers of Pioneer, Darlene Anderson and Lorraine Powell, both of Tulsa, Okla, and four grandchildren.

Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home of Merced is handling the arrangements.
