Cleta Montez "Monte" Dady, 84, of Leeton, died Friday afternoon, July 3, 2009, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton.

She was born March 31, 1925, in Henry County, near Clinton, the daughter of Ira M. Collins and Violet Helen (Crain) Collins.

On March 5, 1954, in Clinton, she married Harry Dady Jr., and he preceded her in death on June 27, 2004.

Mrs. Dady was a homemaker who took pride in mowing her own lawn and taking care of her family. She also enjoyed cooking and watching television.

Survivors include a son, Dwayne D. Dady, Leeton; a brother, Carl Collins, Clinton; two sisters, Eula Moreland, Clinton, and Anna Belle Matson, Independence; two grandchildren, Abigail Dady and Zachary Dady; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Harry, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Collins, and two sisters, Doris Green and Eva Mae Barnhart.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, July 7, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, with the Rev. Doug Hall officiating.

The Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, is in charge of arrangements.
