The death of Henry Pote occurred last Friday at the Olney sanitarium where he was taken for treatment. At the time of his death he was 82 years, 6 months and 11 days of age. He was a native of New Harmony township and a life long resident. The cause of Mr. Pote's death was the infirmity that comes with old age. He was the son of Thomas Pote, a pioneer resident of this county. He was for many years a well known veterinary of this section. Surviving the deceased are two sons, George and Thomas Pote and one daughter, Mrs. John B. Elliott of Chicago, one brother, M.B. Pote and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Kemmerling and Mrs. F.P. Hunter also survive.
