Mary Ethel Golden Ballard went to be with the Lord, at the age of 84 on July 1, 2009. She was born March 10, 1925 in Dixonville, Florida, to Charlie and Ethel Golden. Mary has resided in Brazoria County for more than 50 years. She was a member of Brazoria First Assembly of God.
She is survived by one daughter, Laura Kay Harris and husband, Ronnie, of Lake Jackson; five grandchildren, Richard Schultz and wife, Missy, Keith Schultz and wife, Rhonda, Maegan Tipp and husband, Nicolas, Kristan Harris and Adrian Harris; two great-grandchildren, Renee Schultz and Cassidy Schultz; two sisters, Francis Wall and husband, Pete, of Brewton, Alabama, and Virginia Hendricks and husband, B.D., of Jay, Florida; and a special sister-in-law, Madie Golden of Pensacola, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ezra "Ben" Ballard; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Helen and Gene Schultz; one great-grandson, Steven Schultz; two brothers, Lee Golden and Charles Golden; and one sister, Nell McGraw.
