Anna Marie Rehder, 73
Anna Marie Rehder, daughter of Sina Hegland and Cornelius Wigness was born Oct. 3, 1909, at Des Moines. At an early age her family moved to Harlan where she grew up and graduated from the Harlan high school in 1928. On June 14, 1931, she was married to Elmer Rehder at Harlan and to this union four children were born. They farmed near Harlan for two years and moved to Harlan in 1933. In 1939, they moved to Cedar Rapids and retired to Horseshoe Bend, Ark. in 1971.
She was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran church of Harlan and was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church of Horseshoe Bend, Ark. She died at St. Vincent's Infirmary hospital in Little Rock, Ark. at the age of 73 years, 7 months and 18 days.
Mrs. Rehder was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Rudolph, Clifford and Kenneth; one sister, Karoline Wigness. Survivors include her husband Elmer of Horseshoe, Ark.; three sons, Donald and Carroll and his wife, Marlene, all of Cedar Rapids; Larry and his wife, Jan of Binghamton, N.Y.; one daughter, Marilyn Sundermeier of Little Rock, Ark. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 25, 1983 at the Burmeister Funeral Home with Pastor Paul R. Olsen of the Immanuel Lutheran church, officiating. Burial was in the Harlan cemetery with Buron Carl, Alvin Conrad, Virgil Wilcox, Albert Wunder, Arnold Christensen and Lynden Christiansen serving as casket bearers.
