John Alvin Green, 83, Sandy, died June 21, 1974 at his home following a lingering illness.
Born Aug. 29, 1890, in Cottonwood, Utah, a son of Robert Austin and Caroline Nelson Green. Married Martha E. Godwin, Aug. 1, 1912, in the Salt Lake Temple. She died May 14, 1955. Married Lottie Eggleston Aug. 20, 1945, Salt Lake City. Supervising Forman for Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Co., 45 years.
Survivors; wife; son and daughters; Alvin G., Ephraim; Mrs. Tyler A. (Lucille) Wooley, Ft. Collins, Colo.; Mrs. William H. (Wanda) Behunion, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Lowell W. (Gloria) Chapman, Orem; stepsons and step-daughter; Dallas (Bud) Anderson, Sandy; George Henry Anderson, Granger, and Mrs. Murray (Darlene) Jones, Salt Lake City; 23 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; brother, Raymond, San Pedro, Calif.
Funeral Tuesday, 1 p.m. in the Sandy 18th Ward chapel, where friends may call one hour before services. Friends also call Monday at 8090 S. State. Burial, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
