Born the son of Earl and Fannie Ellsworth, Jan. 31, 1909, at Illinois City, he was a resident of Durant for 20 years.
He married Dorothy Klahn, May 28, 1935 at Stanwood.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge, 388, in Muscatine and had been employed as a mechanic at Wilson Chevrolet in Durant.
Survivors include one son, and two daughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Frick funeral home with the Rev. W. R. Garred officiating. Interment will be at the Memorial Park cemetery in Muscatine.
