Mrs. Matilda Louise Karch, widow of Peter Karch, died in her home near Mt. Zion Thursday after an illness of two weeks due chiefly to her age.

Matilda L. Bryner was born in Piatt county Aug. 31, 1852 but the greater part of her life was passed in Macon county. She married Peter Karch Dec. 15, 1870 and since his death on March 9, 1912 she has made her home with the families of her sons, Henry and Lawrence Karch.

Of her 12 children, 10 are living, Charles F., John A, Lawrence E and H P Karch all of Mt. Zion, Samuel Karch, Mrs. John Sims, Mrs. C.A Wonacott, Mrs. John Ringo, Mrs.George Coz and Mrs.C.B.Wright, all of Decatur. Also she leaves the following named half-sisters and brothers, Mrs. J. G.Jones and Mrs. Robert Wayts of Elwin, Mrs. William Rice, Decatur, P.A.Bryner, Springfield, 12 grandchildren.
