Sophie was a mother to a large family. She was a seamtress by trade,
as well as her first child Sophie Emma. She had her favorites, but was kind and loving
to all her family according to her son Gustave Arthur. She grew up in Dombresson in a lovely place that I was lucky to visit first hand. (The photo of the family farm is in this memorial). More on her family life with Gustave can be seen in his memorial. She was buried on March 31, 1909 in Claggett Cemetery in Keizer.
