Mr. Bobby Gene Alberson, age 59, went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2009. He was born July 28, 1949 in Florala, Alabama to Hughey and Irene Norris Alberson.
Mr. Alberson was Baptist by faith. He graduated form Walton High School in 1969. He had worked in Law Enforcement for over 10 years at Perry City Police Department in Perry, Florida. Also having worked at Okaloosa Corrections before retiring. He was an avid Gator fan and had a love for pick up trucks. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and brother-in-law.
Mr. Alberson was preceded in death by his father Hughey Alberson, two brothers Pete and Eddie Alberson.
Mr. Alberson is survived by his mother Irene Alberson of Gaskin, Florida, brother Billy Joe Alberson and wife Cheryl of Gaskin, Florida, one special nephew Eddie Alberson of Gaskin, Florida, one uncle Ed Tomaszewski of Panama City Beach, Florida, one Aunt, Mary Norris of Warner Robbins, Georgia and special friends Pat and Wayne Morrison and Pat Ealum.
A time of visitation will be held from 6:00~8:00 PM, Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 6, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Gaskin with Reverend William Tucker Aplin officiating.
Those asked to serve as pallbearers will be Jason Beck, Willard Beck, Vaughn DeLong, Wayne Morrison, Billy Norris, and Don Simpler. Honorary pallbearers will James Barrentine, Bobby Collinsworth, Ralph Infinger, Bo Jones, Kenneth Pridgen, Tim Sconiers, Tommie Sconiers and Chuck Sims.
Burial will follow in the Gaskin Cemetery.
