Alice Clingenpeel
Mrs. Alice CLINGENPEEL, 87, Argos, died at 3:28 Thursday at her residence following an extended illness.
Born July 15, 1886, at Hamler, O., she was the daughter of William and Ella RICE. Her first marriage was in 1914 to Jacob CLINGENPEEL. He died in 1948. Her second marriage was to George CLINGENPEEL in 1949. He survives. She had been a resident of the Argos community eight years, moving from the Walnut community.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Nellie SCHULTZ, Angola; Mrs. Marjorie HELMKE, Toledo, O., and Mrs. Louise MURPHY, Rochester; two brothers, Francis RICE of Muncie, and William RICE, Dover, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Whilemean WHITE, Muncie; several grandchildren. One son preceded in death.
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Grossman funeral home in Argos. The Rev. Raymond OVIATT will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Rochester. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Saturday.
