STEPHENVILLE (Special) Services for Richard Frank Vernon, 47, of Stephenville will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Denver City Memorial Park with the Rev. Jimmy Auld officiating.
Burial will be in Denver City Memorial Park under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home.
He died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999.
He was born Jan. 15, 1952. He married Sue Rucker on July 15, 1972, in Lubbock. He was a member of the Northwest Bible Church in Spring, where he was a former resident. He was a mechanical engineer and spent more than 24 years in the Houston area.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Kenny Vernon of Richmond; a daughter, Lisa Vernon of Denton; his mother and stepfather, Mary Ann and Frank Gentry of Bartlesville, Okla.; a grandmother Caddie Burrows of Bartlesville; two sisters Laura Heald of Orem, Utah, and Lianne McKinley of Houston; and a brother Robert Vernon of West Des Moines, Iowa.
The family suggests memorials to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Road, Des Plaines, Ill., 60018; or to the donor's favorite charity.
