First husband was Joseph Crawford Edwards; married Mar 6, 1851. Joseph Edwards was born 14 Jan 1830 in Fairfield County, Ohio; died while in the army about Oct. 10, 1862 aboard a steamboat bound from Helena, Arkansas to St. Louis, Missouri. Buried at St. Louis, Missouri, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

June 14 1916:
Mrs Minerva Evoritt for 77 years a resident of Mercer county, died June 2, 1916 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Schooler, 2 miles east of Mill Grove, after an illness lasting but a week.
Mrs. Evoritt was a daughter of Archie and Hannah Smith and was born in Indiana February 24, 1837, coming to Mercer County, Mo., where she was married to J. C. Edwards March 6, 1853.

To this union were born three children, Archie, Mrs Hannah Bacon and Wm. deceased, who died while in the army about Oct. 10, 1862.(Ed. NOTE: J . C. Edwards died in 1862, not William)

She was married to Elisha Evoritt in 1864. To this union was born one child, A. G. Evoritt. Mr. Evoritt died about six months after their marriage.

She was again married to Phillip Evoritt October 10, 1865 and to this union were born six children of whom four are living, Thomas F. and Chas. M. having preceded her to the Great Beyond. The surviving ones are J. M., Mrs. Minnie J. Spencer, R. E. and Mrs. Stella M. Schooler. Mr. Evoritt died July 18,(note:the year is blank, but it was 1885).
All that are living were present at her death except one son.

She united with the Methodist church at the age of 20. A short time afterwards she transfered her membership to the Christian church, w here she remained a faithful member until her death. As Christ says" His works will follow after death." She had been in poor health for about three months, but was sick just a week.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 3, 1916, at the Coon church at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Jewett of Spickard, after which the remains were laid to rest in the nearby cemetery.
