"Doc" Arthur and Mary had 12 known children who were born in U.S., though some say the oldest, Jane, was born on the ship during their ocean crossing. Per census records, Jane was born in Vermont, Mary Ann and David in Pennsylvania, and Emanuel, Isabella, Arthur Jr., Sarah E., Rachel D., William John, Esther, Robert James, and Margaret were born in Illinois. Rachel died at 9 months, Esther at 3 years, and Margaret at 2 years. With the exception of Emanuel, who died around age 37, the rest lived long lives, ranging from 61 to 91 years.
Any information about Emanuel/Manuel would be appreciated. He married Jane Bilderback, died possibly mid 1870's, but no records yet found.
