A.J. "Jack" Ezell, 67, of Athens, passed away Monday, June 29, 2009, at his home.
He was preceded in death by parents, Tom and Emma Birchfield Ezell; one infant sister; brothers: Edward, Rufus, Jim and John Ezell; one niece and three nephews.
Survivors include sisters and brothers-in-law: Arminda Chastain and Minnie and Howard Evans, all of Athens, Myrtle Sue Audson of Cleveland, Lula May and Harl Russell, Alma Jean Lovingood and Irene and Bob Thompson, all of Sweetwater, Churchill Lindsey of Mississippi, Edna Thomason of Philadelphia; brother, Cecil Ezell of Philadelphia; stepmother, Nellie Lovingood of Tellico Plains; and several nieces and nephews
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. today, July 1, 2009, at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Madisonville with the Rev. Barry Lee officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Terry Ezell, Keith (Peanut) Wilford, Stephen Sisk, Randy Sisk Jr., Jonathon Ezell, Joshua Ezell.
The family will receive friends 1 to 3 p.m. today at funeral home.
